*Raises Hand*

My name is Shawn. This blog is an accounting of my effort to find meaning and catharsis in the void created by infertility. My story includes a childless marriage; ineffectual fertility treatments; many ill-fated “assisted” reproductive medical procedures, and heartbreak for the pain and indignities many of these procedures inflicted upon my wife and our marriage.

This is not a blog for men. It’s not a blog for women. This blog is for everyone. It will grow and change based on what you (anyone there?) wish for me to write about. I hope that we can freely interact and talk about the difficult topic of infertility. I’m going to be as open, honest and genuine as is possible. Please feel free to do the same. It’s the only way we can learn from one another.

Infertility is an insidiously treacherous road. I’m sharing with you my journey. I’ve not reached the end of it and I do not know where it will lead. It is an unwanted adventure but my dreams have not been realized and I will see it to its conclusion.
